DCX ships the world’s most powerful Coolant Distribution Units

As demand for computing power continues to accelerate, the requirements placed on data center infrastructure are rising just as rapidly. The growth of AI-driven applications, high-performance computing, and increasingly dense server environments is reshaping the industry and making efficient, reliable liquid cooling a critical factor in ensuring performance, scalability, and operational resilience.

  • DCX Liquid Cooling Systems, an innovator in liquid cooling solutions, received earlier this year a landmark agreement to supply fully custom-made Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) to one of the world’s Top 3 largest and most influential AI companies.
  • Each of the custom-made Coolant Distribution Unit is engineered to handle capacities of up to 9.6MW per single device, with DCX Liquid Cooling Systems contracted to deliver 22 units for a total cooling capacity of 220MW.
  • DCX Liquid Cooling Systems continues to break barriers of cooling capacity per a single Coolant Distribution Unit and is shipping the system to the Gigawatt scale data center  in USA.

This collaboration highlights DCX’s expertise in tailoring high-performance cooling systems to meet the unique demands of advanced AI infrastructure, where extreme power densities require precise and reliable thermal management. The custom CDUs incorporate cutting-edge design features to ensure optimal efficiency, scalability, and minimal downtime.

The design of a 9.6MW CDU was is an expanded interpretation of our 5MW Facility Distribution Unit. Our engineering team completed the whole design and sizing process within a span of weeks.

“We are grateful to our customer for their trust and confidence in DCX, which has enabled our engineering team to scale 5 MW FDU design to 10 MW Coolant Distribution Unit, meeting the specific requirements of the investor.”, said Maciek Szadkowski, Chief Technology Officer at DCX Liquid Cooling Systems.

Delivery and comissioning are slated to begin in the coming weeks, further expanding DCX’s footprint in the US AI sector. This historic agreement highlights DCX Liquid Cooling Systems’ expertise and flexibility required to deliver the most challenging and unorthodox solutions for hyperscale Data Centers.
